January 14th

Yesterday was my first day back at Westwood. I asked to be reassigned to a First Grade class for this semester, instead of Kindergarten. I want to see the difference in the two classes and to be able to learn more things from a new class. Although, I didn't exactly get what I was hoping for. Somehow I managed to get out in a First Grade ESL class. This terrified me at first but I tried my best to make it work. The teacher was nice and suspected that I didn't know any spanish, and she was right. The kids were sweet as usual and they were hard workers. I was there to help them with worksheets and their journals in class and the teacher asked them to speak english only while I was there, which was helpful. It was a good day overall and I enjoyed the class even though it was difficult at first.
